Job Overview
Madar Medical Company is seeking a skilled Accountant responsible for overseeing the financial accounting activities and reporting related to the company's investment holdings.
Key Duties
- Handle daily accounting tasks including maintenance of the general ledger.
- Compile financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually compliant with IFRS standards.
- Reconcile bank and investment accounts across various financial institutions and fund managers.
- Manage accounting for diverse investment portfolios such as funds, fixed deposits, and equities, including valuation and income recognition.
- Prepare and file zakat documents ensuring compliance with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) guidelines, collaborating with external consultants as needed.
- Communicate with external auditors, banking institutions, and fund administrators effectively.
- Assist in budgeting, monitoring cash flows, and generating management reports for partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of practical accounting experience within investment firms, holding companies, or family office environments; this is required.
- Comprehensive understanding of IFRS standards and Saudi specific zakat and tax regulations governed by ZATCA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting or ERP software platforms.
