Role overview

As an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining seamless financial operations by collaborating directly with the Controller to perfect the month-end closing process and safeguard the accuracy of our general ledger. Your efforts will turn raw financial data, vendor interactions, and compliance requirements into a reliable financial story that empowers strategic growth and confidence across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Controller to enhance month-end closing procedures.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to facilitate precise and timely month-end and year-end closings.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, detect and resolve discrepancies to maintain the accuracy of financial reports.
• Assist with regulatory compliance reporting such as surveys, franchise taxes, and annual reports, adhering to all deadlines.
• Act as a liaison for employee and vendor issues, resolving concerns promptly through coordination with internal teams.
• Support special financial analyses and projects to guide business decisions and improve operational workflows.
• Review, categorize, and process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and corporate card charges according to company policies and accounting standards.
• Update and maintain vendor files, manage accounts payable inbox, and track the Company Finance calendar to ensure adherence to key reporting and compliance timelines.

Candidate requirements

• A minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably within high-growth or startup environments.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience handling payroll and accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or equivalent.
• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to meet recurring deadlines reliably.
• CPA candidacy or a bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.

Compensation and benefits

• Annual salary range of $70,000 to $80,000.
• Fully remote position – work from any location in the United States.
