Accountant

Role Overview

This position is for an Accountant based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, reporting to the Accounting Manager. The role is open to Saudi nationals only.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day books by entering and processing sales, purchase, and expense transactions in the company’s accounting platform.
• Keep ledgers, statements, and other financial records complete, accurate, and aligned with accounting standards.
• Handle accounts payable by checking invoices against purchase orders and preparing payment runs.
• Manage accounts receivable by tracking customer balances, issuing invoices, and following up on past-due amounts.
• Complete monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and balance sheet items, and investigate any mismatches.
• Prepare the trial balance for month-end review.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including posting and validating journal entries and assisting with audit preparation.
• Assist with tax-related filing tasks by gathering and organizing required documents.
• Process employee expense claims and carry out other routine accounting and operational duties.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related professional qualification is required.
• Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar accounting position.
• Prior use of ERP systems and accounting software is expected, with Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel is necessary.
• The role calls for careful attention to detail, solid analytical ability, clear communication, and strong organization to manage multiple priorities.
