Role Overview

The Academic Mentor position based in Kamrup District Office involves collaborating with school leaders and teachers to enhance curriculum planning, delivery, and classroom interaction for stronger educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Assist school principals and heads in strengthening curriculum design and classroom teaching processes to increase effectiveness.
Ensure optimal use and improvement of the school's infrastructure and facilities such as functional toilets, libraries, computer and science labs, and engaging classrooms.
Promote and facilitate student-centered programs including sports, drawing, and other activities and events.
Coordinate academic and non-academic events throughout the year including sports day, annual day, Republic Day, community volunteering, and parent-teacher meetings.
Offer teachers interactive support sessions and technical guidance on subject-specific areas.
Conduct refresher training sessions focusing on challenging concepts and specific teaching needs.
Help plan the complete academic calendar including curriculum rollout, remedial measures, assessments, and ongoing monitoring and mentoring processes.

Additional Information

Reporting to project implementation teams across multiple regions within the organization.

Educational Qualifications

Preferred degrees include Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Social Work (MSW).

Experience

Background in the social sector with an understanding of education.
Requires 2 to 8 years of relevant professional experience.
