A/C Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for dedicated and energetic Maintenance professionals who excel in delivering exceptional customer service and creating effective solutions for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and provide technical support for all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems at the hotel, including freezers, refrigerators, ice makers, fan coil units, and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems within the hotel premises.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of refrigeration systems and their components.
• Inspect door closing mechanisms on walk-in coolers and freezers, focusing on door gaskets and latches.
• Maintain and service all defrosting systems and automate ice maker functions.
• Attend to maintenance requests across all hotel departments promptly.
• Ensure regular cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters.
• Assess performance of air-conditioning and chilled water systems.
• Collaborate with fellow engineering staff to identify failures and properly configure air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Maintain strict control over venting of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) to the atmosphere.
• Conduct overhauls of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Check refrigeration and oil levels, managing major repairs as necessary.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Storekeeper for part procurement.
• Execute all maintenance work in compliance with national technical regulations and safety guidelines.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate should possess a diploma in refrigeration system maintenance or building services engineering. Previous experience in a similar role is expected, alongside proven knowledge of equipment operation and upkeep. Proficiency in English and strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve subsystem issues are essential.
