About the Internship

This internship involves creating advanced evaluation problems and datasets in areas such as immunology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics, specifically targeting topics like cytokine networks, metabolic flux analysis, genome assembly, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), and protein structure. The role includes designing realistic and challenging evaluation scenarios that account for noisy data, edge cases, and require quantitative reasoning rather than simple textbook questions. Additionally, interns will develop long-context stress tests using case studies with research papers, raw datasets, conflicting information, and complex inputs.

They will also devise evaluation frameworks that assess AI models' abilities to retain information, cross-reference data sources, and perform accurate reasoning across very long contexts of up to 128,000 tokens. All questions, answers, and evaluation criteria will need to be structured in JSON or YAML, accompanied by clear, objective rubrics for scoring. Interns will construct validation scripts and automated workflows so that models’ responses can be scored reliably without the need for human judgment.

Candidate Eligibility

• Applicants must be available for a remote internship position.
• Start date should be between August 12, 2026, and September 16, 2026.
• The internship lasts for 3 months.
• Candidates must possess relevant skills and genuine interest in the subject matter.
• Applicants should be elite PhD researchers or top biotech scholars from premier national institutions such as IISc, IITs, or top central research labs.

Compensation and Perks

• Monthly stipend ranges from INR 7,000 to INR 20,000, comprising a fixed component of INR 5,000-10,000 and incentives between INR 2,000-10,000.
• Interns will receive a certificate and a letter of recommendation upon completion.
• Flexible working hours are provided with a standard five-day workweek.
