Role Overview

The Youth Lead position is a full-time, on-site role located in Surat, Gujarat. This role entails managing and coordinating activities and programs centered around youth development. Responsibilities include planning and executing programs, leading group sessions, and offering guidance and support to participating youth. The role involves overseeing daily operations connected to youth initiatives, ensuring schedules are adhered to, and guaranteeing that all activities are safe, engaging, and consistent with the organization's objectives. Collaboration with colleagues, community partners, and families is a key component, along with documenting program results and preparing basic reports. The Youth Lead is also expected to embody positive behavior, act as a role model, and nurture a supportive atmosphere for all young attendees.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Youth Leadership and program management to effectively support youth development.
• Strong communication abilities for interaction with youth, families, peers, and community collaborators.
• Experience or skills in Social Work or community outreach to address diverse youth needs.
• Capability in organizing, planning, and facilitating group activities or workshops.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and aptitude in building trust with young individuals from various backgrounds.
• Relevant educational background in social work, psychology, education, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Surat and maintain precise records of youth participation and program effectiveness.
