About the Role
INCOG BioPharma Services seeks a skilled Windows Systems Administrator for their IT team, focused on positively impacting global health and wellness. This role involves managing and supporting Windows-based infrastructure within a GxP-regulated environment, providing Tier 3 technical expertise on complex IT issues, and leading patch management and system onboarding efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Microsoft Azure/Entra ID infrastructure, including user account administration, groups, conditional access policies, Intune, mobile device management, and endpoint protection.
- Act as the Tier 3 escalation contact onsite for intricate infrastructure and system problems beyond Tier 1 and 2 support, guiding MSP resources technically and providing quality oversight.
- Collaborate with Security Analysts on access control reviews, audit trail monitoring, data extraction, and remediation measures.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance teams to develop infrastructure solutions enhancing operational efficiencies.
- Ensure all systems align with company policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
- Engage in occasional off-hours work to support system maintenance, patch deployments, and onboarding activities.
- Oversee daily execution of the Windows endpoint and server patch management program using WSUS, including planning, testing, phased rollout, and validation.
- Coordinate patching activities for network equipment and firewalls alongside the MSP, ensuring connectivity post-update.
- Manage patching for lab and engineering instrument workstations/servers while respecting vendor configurations and qualification statuses.
- Track patch compliance, manage exceptions, escalate risks, and report status to senior management.
- Maintain patching documentation and change records compliant with GxP and documentation standards.
- Lead technical onboarding for new software platforms and hardware, including lab instruments, coordinating vendor and quality stakeholders through integration and documentation.
- Administer lifecycle support for workstations, servers, and instrument software across multiple business units.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aligned with ITIL and GxP standards regarding onboarding and lifecycle management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration.
- At least 3 years managing Microsoft Azure/Entra ID environment including Intune, MDM, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Proven expertise running an enterprise patch management program especially with WSUS and coordinating with external service providers.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting Windows workstations and server environments for 5+ years.
- Experience supporting enterprise software and laboratory hardware integration within regulated environments.
- Skilled Tier 2/3 escalation technician with a customer-centric approach; experience working alongside MSPs preferred.
- Familiarity with SOP writing, data integrity standards, GxP compliance, software development life cycles, ITIL frameworks, and documentation standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Certifications
- Advanced Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-500.
- Microsoft Endpoint Administrator certification (MD-102) or similar credentials.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certifications.
- Knowledge of GAMP 5 and computer system validation (CSV) concepts.
