Overview

The Apple Services Engineering (ASE) team invites an accomplished UI Engineer to develop user interfaces and enhance experiences for the App Store Connect web platform, a vital part of the Apple Developer Program. This platform supports nearly two million apps across Apple’s diverse operating systems including iOS, macOS, tvOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and visionOS, equipping developers with tools for app management, building, testing, and publishing.

Role Description

The ideal professional will have a solid history of creating efficient, reusable front-end features and components within complex web applications. Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and best practices for large-scale web app development is essential. The role includes engaging in code reviews, collaborating within shared codebases, and managing continuous integration and delivery across multiple development environments.

This position requires a self-driven individual capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively. Interaction with cross-functional teams such as Design, Backend, Quality Assurance, Operations, Project Management, and Product Marketing is fundamental to delivering Apple-level quality web applications emphasizing visual perfection and privacy.

Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to engage in troubleshooting discussions with peers are critical. The role offers exposure to Apple's various systems that deliver apps globally in 50 languages and 175 regions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in web application development using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• At least 2 years of experience with ReactJS or similar frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js.
• More than 2 years of advanced front-end development expertise, including browser API utilization, responsive design, accessibility standards, and performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong comprehension of front-end architecture and state management.
• Experience with REST API design and integration.
• Commitment to writing maintainable, reusable, and testable code.
• Knowledge of design and UX principles with capability to contribute in design discussions.
• Hands-on familiarity with front-end build tools like Webpack, Babel, NPM, and Node.js.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position spans from $153,700 to $230,500 annually, based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Beyond base pay, employees may participate in discretionary stock programs, including restricted stock unit awards and an employee stock purchase plan at a discount.
