Job description

About Assembly Four

Assembly Four is a rapidly growing technology company with a strong commitment to driving positive change for sex workers, human rights, LGBTQIA+, and intersecting communities worldwide. Guided by a mission that values impact over profit, the company develops innovative products and services in partnership with sex workers to empower their autonomy and wellbeing.

We believe everyone deserves the freedom to make choices about their bodies and sexual lives without fear of discrimination or violence—a core human right still being fought for by sex workers globally.

Join our remote-first, diverse team—comprised of sex workers, neurodivergent, disabled, and LGBTQIA+ individuals— dedicated to advocating for sex worker autonomy and liberation through advocacy and inventive solutions.

  • Escalate complex, sensitive, or high-risk cases to senior agents or analysts appropriately.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with users, explaining decisions or requesting further details.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of moderation actions and correspondence to maintain transparency and enable reporting.
  • Identify and highlight recurring issues or patterns to promote ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Participate actively in team discussions, training sessions, and workflow refinements to uphold consistent moderation standards.

Training and Scheduling

  • Complete thorough Trust & Safety onboarding and continue with policy-focused training.
  • Contribute to moderation queue coverage as needed, including rotating work schedules if applicable.

  • Strong competency in policy application and guideline adherence when making decisions.
  • Expertise in performing investigative reviews of sensitive or challenging content.
  • Excellent written communication skills, able to convey decisions calmly and clearly to users.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional, agile teams.

Preferred Attributes

  • Previous involvement with marginalized communities and willingness to learn about sex workers, neurodivergent people, and persons with disabilities.
  • Background or awareness of sex work and sex worker-led platforms.
  • Familiarity with startup environments and experience working in fully remote setups.

Benefits and Company Culture

At Assembly Four, you will be part of an organization devoted to making an impact for some of the most marginalized groups worldwide. The company fosters a supportive environment prioritizing social impact, collaboration, and employee wellbeing.

  • Flexible working conditions including a 4-day (32-hour) work week with full pay, plus time off in lieu for additional hours.
  • Competitive salary of $92,000 NZD plus superannuation.

  • Profit sharing: Profit distributions to team members when the company is profitable each year.
  • Supportive paid parental leave schemes designed to aid families and facilitate smooth returns to work.

Diversity and Inclusion

Assembly Four champions diversity as a driver of innovation and excellence. Recognizing that individuals from underrepresented groups may hesitate to apply if they don’t meet every criterion, we actively encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, valuing unique perspectives that advance our mission.
