Role Overview
This position offers a meaningful chance to directly influence Sims' fleet operations, driving cost efficiency and operational performance improvements. Your contributions and decisions will stand out in enhancing the logistics function.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop adaptable fleet allocation models to discover new opportunities within the network.
- Establish and maintain effective collaboration with delivery partners in sales and operations throughout Sims and wider business areas.
- Ensure customer communications are prompt, precise, and geared towards surpassing expectations aligned with allocation choices.
- Engage in proactive planning to optimize logistics and resource distribution, foreseeing demand to prevent disruptions.
- Manage order scheduling to maximize shipment volumes, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Implement allocation processes in compliance with Chain of Responsibility and National Heavy Vehicle Regulator fatigue management regulations, prioritizing safety and legal adherence.
Candidate Profile
- Experience or strong aptitude in fleet allocation and scheduling is highly advantageous.
- Clear understanding of compliance frameworks including Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management protocols.
- Capability to juggle competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
