Job description
About frankeconsults GmbH
frankeconsults GmbH is a specialized consultancy focusing on data migration and data validation within ERP systems. The firm aids organizations in systematically, transparently, and reliably transferring their existing data into new ERP platforms, frequently SAP but also Microsoft Dynamics and others. The company combines comprehensive process knowledge with technical implementation, from initial data extraction through transformation and validation to a successful go-live.
As a compact and specialized consultancy, you will work closely with actual projects, clients, and decision-makers. Throughout the trainee program, you will receive structured guidance and learn directly from experienced consultants.
Why Join This Trainee Program?
ERP data migration lies at the intersection of data, business processes, and technology. It involves understanding which data is necessary in a new system, how customer, supplier, material, or financial data must be structured, and how to verify the completeness and accuracy of migrated data.
This six-month trainee initiative is designed for individuals eager to grasp both functional and technical basics from scratch. A completed university degree is required, though not necessarily in business or IT fields. Prior experience in ERP systems, data migration, SQL, or consulting is not mandatory.
Your Role
You will learn the planning, execution, and validation of ERP data migrations. Progressively, you'll transition from guided exercises to closely supervised participation in real client projects.
The program aims to prepare you for a Junior Consultant position. After six months, a permanent contract is possible depending on your development, performance, and mutual fit; however, this is not guaranteed automatically.
Training Structure
- Building foundations: Understand typical business processes, ERP systems, data structures, and migration projects.
- Developing practical skills: Work with Excel, SQL, Power Query, and data validation methods. Learn responsible use of AI tools for analysis, documentation, and workflow support, critically assessing outcomes and complying with data protection and customer requirements.
- Applying knowledge: Gradually engage in real project work under close mentorship, taking on defined responsibilities.
Your Tasks During the Program
- Analyze and comprehend data structures in source and target systems.
- Prepare, transform, and validate data using Excel, SQL, and Power Query under guidance.
- Gain insight into business processes in finance, procurement, logistics, and sales.
- Support documentation of migration rules, assumptions, and results.
- Use AI applications responsibly to assist with analysis, documentation, and repetitive tasks.
- Verify AI- and manually-generated results for accuracy and traceability.
- Observe client meetings and help organize project workshops.
- Contribute to refining internal templates, methods, and tools.
- Incrementally handle supervised tasks for migration objects such as customers, suppliers, materials, or financial data.
Candidate Profile
A university degree is essential, though your major need not be in business or IT. No specific professional background is required. You are a good fit if you:
- Have genuine enthusiasm for learning about data, business processes, and ERP systems.
- Enjoy analyzing information, spotting patterns, and understanding interconnections.
- Work with care, reliability, and an eye for detail.
- Are comfortable with everyday digital tools and willing to learn Excel, SQL, Power Query, and AI-supported techniques.
- Ask questions, accept feedback, and actively manage your learning progress.
- Communicate openly and enjoy collaborating, including remotely.
- Possess very good German skills approximately at C1 level and good English skills roughly at B2 level; official certificates are not necessary.
No prior knowledge of ERP systems, SQL, data migration, or consulting is expected.
