Job description
Job Purpose
The Tool Keeper is responsible for managing and servicing the inventory of tools, equipment, materials, and consumables, playing an essential role in supporting outage execution through assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage tool inventory, identify discrepancies or missing items, and initiate procurement processes as needed.
- Coordinate with outage managers and Field Service Engineers for replenishing inventory and addressing new requirements.
- Provide regular reports on lost or damaged tools and the users responsible.
- Ensure compliance with 5S standards and housekeeping procedures at all times.
- Maintain and oversee certifications, both internal and external, for tools and equipment; coordinate with third-party agencies for certification and servicing.
- Conduct internal inspections of all tools and equipment and validate inspection and certification records.
- Maintain minimum order quantities for various tool containers, consumables, and on-site equipment stored in the warehouse.
- Support outages by timely replenishment of tools and equipment as required.
- Manage receipt of goods from vendors onsite and update inventory in accordance with procedures.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, security, and environmental guidelines to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.
- Assist with physical inventory counts during internal and external audits.
- Support material handling activities including loading, unloading, and stacking.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the line manager.
Communication & Working Relationships
- Collaborate closely with operations and warehouse teams internally.
- Liaise with contractors, certification bodies, and auditors externally.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational qualification: High School diploma.
- At least 2 years of experience in onsite tool-keeping management and familiarity with tooling processes.
- Strong communication skills in reading and writing.
- High attention to detail.
