Job Overview

The Therapist Assistant plays a key role in supporting therapists before, during, and after therapy sessions. This position also involves assisting with departmental administration and operational tasks while engaging in ongoing education related to occupational and physiotherapy. The therapist assistant might be assigned to various MINDS settings such as special schools or training centers, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team including teachers, psychologists, social workers, and therapists of various specialties.

Candidate Profile and Skills

Applicants should be resourceful, adaptable, diligent and show initiative in their work. They must be empathetic to client needs and possess strong communication and problem-solving abilities. A diploma or degree in physiotherapy or occupational therapy, from a program recognized by the Allied Health Professions Council of Singapore, is required.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual, or developmental disabilities is highly regarded. Ideally, candidates will have around two years of relevant job experience in this field.
