Role Overview

The Team Lead for Products within the Wealth Product & Research department is responsible for driving product strategy and innovation in wealth management offerings such as mutual funds, alternative investment funds (AIFs), portfolio management services (PMS), bonds, fixed deposits, retirement products, and digital gold. Based in Mumbai, this role demands leadership to steer a team of product managers while managing stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, and product performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement product strategies aligning with house views and client risk profiles across wealth management solutions.
• Partner effectively with providers and cross-functional teams to innovate and enhance product suite offerings.
• Manage product onboarding processes and optimize portfolio profitability.
• Engage with high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), retail and institutional clients to gather actionable insights.
• Equip distribution teams with timely updates to support client interactions.
• Collaborate closely with Research, PPR, Investment Counsellors, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Marketing for smooth product execution and compliance adherence.
• Lead outreach efforts including webinars and targeted communication to foster product awareness.
• Oversee tracking of assets under management (AUM), net sales, revenue by product, and client adoption metrics.
• Analyze market data and competitor products to inform future product roadmap.
• Ensure products comply with regulatory and internal policies while managing risk mitigation.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to product management team fostering innovation and accountability.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• MBA, CA, or progress toward CFA designation.
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience within wealth management, financial services, or product management.
• In-depth understanding of investment products including mutual funds, AIFs, PMS, bonds, fixed deposits, retirement solutions, and digital gold.
• Strong strategic and client-centric thinking.
• Analytical capability to review performance metrics and market trends effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication alongside stakeholder management skills.
• Proven leadership skills to manage and inspire a high-performing team.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk mitigation frameworks.
