Role Overview
The Maintenance Planner position focuses on organizing, coordinating, and monitoring maintenance work across mechanical, electrical, industrial, or IT-related systems. The purpose of the role is to keep work orders moving efficiently, turn maintenance data into meaningful insights, and produce KPI reporting that supports strong operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, review, and revise maintenance plans for preventive, predictive, and corrective tasks.
- Use a CMMS platform to schedule, monitor, document, and report maintenance work orders.
- Review maintenance records and convert them into clear reports, dashboards, and KPI summaries for management.
- Work closely with technical teams to make sure maintenance activities are completed on time.
- Support adherence to safety, quality, and operational requirements.
- Handle shifting priorities while keeping maintenance targets on track.
- Keep inventory information up to date and assist with spare-parts coordination when required.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Computer Engineering, or another related technical discipline.
- At least 2 to 5 years of experience in maintenance planning or a closely related maintenance position.
- Strong computer literacy, especially advanced Microsoft Excel use for analysis, pivot tables, formulas, and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with CMMS tools for planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance jobs.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interpret maintenance data and prepare accurate reports and KPI outputs.
- Well-developed planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities.
- Good understanding of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance methods; prior maintenance experience is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to balance several priorities at once.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and spare-parts handling is an added advantage.
