Role Overview

The System Operation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all automated and manual warehouse material handling equipment, aligned with Almarai's business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on repair and maintenance of automated material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
• Support installation teams with the setup and commissioning of automated material handling systems.
• Assist operations in troubleshooting and resolving both short-term and prolonged malfunctions or stoppages.
• Report breakdowns comprehensively and follow up on resolution progress.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience with industrial automation systems such as PLC, HMI, and SCADA.
• Practical skills in PLC programming using platforms like Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider.
• Expertise in control systems design, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledgeable in industrial communication protocols including Profibus, Modbus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a positive, enthusiastic approach.
• Good interpersonal skills to foster effective teamwork.
