Supply Chain Specialist

Role Overview

MaximaTek is hiring a detail-focused Supply Chain Specialist in Ontario, Canada to run day-to-day logistics and procurement activities. The position serves as the coordination point among suppliers, internal production teams, and distribution partners, with an emphasis on efficient execution, cost control, compliance, and safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily supply chain tasks such as purchasing, inventory control, order completion, and shipment timing.
• Keep shipping and receiving records complete and accurate, and ensure logistics work follows customs rules, international trade requirements, and internal procedures.
• Enter and maintain data correctly in ERP or warehouse management systems, while following ALCOA+ standards for inventory documentation.
• Watch for delays, supply bottlenecks, and supplier issues, and escalate major disruptions or non-compliance to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare and update material specifications and support internal as well as external audits to help maintain GxP and ISO compliance.
• Act as the main contact for suppliers and third-party logistics providers during performance discussions and audit activities.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related area is required. The role is open to candidates with 0 to 5 years of experience in logistics, procurement, warehouse operations, or manufacturing settings.

Required Skills

• Solid understanding of inventory control and lean six sigma concepts.
• Hands-on ability with supply chain tools, ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle, and Excel.
• Working knowledge of global shipping paperwork and rules, including Bills of Lading and Incoterms.
• Strong technical writing ability and excellent organization skills.

Preferred Skills

• CSCP (APICS) or CPSM (ISM) certification, or eligibility to pursue either.
• Background in medical device or pharmaceutical cold-chain logistics.
• Exposure to demand forecasting and data analysis.
