About the Role and Company
At AsureQuality, a dedicated team of 1700 professionals collaborates with farmers, producers, and other stakeholders in the food supply chain to uphold Aotearoa’s reputation for exceptional food safety and quality. Located in Lynfield, Auckland, AsureQuality houses the Southern Hemisphere's largest food testing laboratory with over 500 staff. To ensure efficient operations, the company seeks a highly organized and detail-focused individual to manage stores, warehousing, and inventory functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support procurement activities for laboratory consumables and chemicals, ensuring procurement prioritizes quality and cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and organized inventory records of laboratory supplies and chemicals.
- Track inventory levels diligently and update records accordingly.
- Process incoming orders and prepare laboratory consumables for distribution across the site.
- Safely and securely pack chemicals and other sensitive materials for handling and distribution.
- Coordinate with team members to guarantee timely delivery to clients.
- Participate in regular physical inventory audits to detect and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance workflow and knowledge in inventory and logistics.
- Address client questions or issues related to their orders in a professional manner.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Basic knowledge or willingness to gain expertise in inventory management, procurement, stores, and logistics.
- Experience or understanding of laboratory consumables and chemical handling is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in basic computer applications relevant to inventory management.
- Customer-focused attitude with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Good physical fitness to meet the physical demands of the role.
- Previous experience in warehouse or stores operations, dispatch, or inventory management systems will be beneficial.

This is a permanent, Monday to Friday position based onsite at the Lynfield location.
