Statistical Programmer 2

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Statistical Programmer to provide technical expertise in developing, maintaining, and supporting programs tailored to both internal and external client requirements. This role involves planning and leading comprehensive statistical programming projects and acting as a key technical resource within the Statistical Programming department.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and document programs that generate statistical tables, figures, and listings.
• Create analysis databases and manage data transfers for clients both inside and outside the organization.
• Conduct quality control and validation of databases as necessary.
• Integrate data from multiple studies or sources through programming.
• Maintain thorough programming documentation including plans and specifications.
• Provide advanced technical support and independently deliver solutions to project teams and the wider department.
• Design, implement, and validate innovative processes, technologies, macros, and applications.
• Act as a statistical team lead on individual studies under supervision, managing project scope and effort estimation.
• Oversee budget and resource planning for single study projects and assist with quoting and budgeting procedures.
• Mentor and train junior and new staff members, fostering professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline with at least one year relevant experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with at least two years relevant experience, OR
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Knowledge of statistics, programming, and clinical drug development processes.
• Proficiency with computing applications such as Base SAS, SAS/STAT, and SAS Macro Language.
• Strong skills in organization, leadership, communication, and interpersonal relations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to build and sustain professional relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients.
