Overview

The Speech Therapist role at Hope Centre for Speech Therapy and Autism involves teaching and supporting children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The professional will design personalized educational strategies to enhance communication, behavior, and social skills among these children.

Key Duties

• Create and apply Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's needs.
• Utilize therapeutic approaches such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and play-based learning to facilitate development.
• Monitor behavior patterns and document progress systematically.
• Collaborate closely with other therapists and parents to ensure holistic care and consistency in interventions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a Degree or Diploma in Special Education, Psychology, or Child Development.
• Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and effective behavior management strategies.
• Exhibit high levels of patience, empathy, and strong communication abilities.
• Proficient in computer usage to support therapy and documentation processes.
