Spa Manager

Job Overview

This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of spa employees across various service areas, including salon, skin care, program coordination, reservations, reception, massage services, and locker rooms. The role focuses on ensuring both guest and staff satisfaction while achieving operational budget goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Spa Director when absent to ensure seamless operations.
• Ensure all staff have required supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
• Understand and assist with financial management including budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports.
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment within budget constraints.
• Maintain cleanliness of spa facilities and equipment.
• Align department operations with the overall financial objectives of the property, striving to meet or exceed budget targets.
• Set a positive example for guest relations and interact with guests to gather feedback on service quality.
• Handle guest concerns and complaints effectively.
• Empower employees to deliver excellent customer service and emphasize guest satisfaction in team meetings with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Encourage employee feedback through an open-door policy and address concerns in collaboration with HR.
• Clarify employee expectations and address issues promptly, including participation in disciplinary procedures.
• Support employee training, ongoing education, recognition programs, and orientation efforts.
• Foster collaborative relationships within the team and celebrate team successes publicly.
• Ensure fair and consistent application of property policies and procedures, including disciplinary documentation consistent with SOPs and LSOPs.
• Assist Spa Director in daily spa operations as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Minimum two years in spa, guest services, or related professional area.
