Role Overview

This Software Engineer role contributes to the design, build, and improvement of a global service that provides connectivity to customers. The position can involve ownership across major parts of the system, from antenna control software to customer-facing APIs that support network scheduling. Candidates who enjoy operating across multiple technical domains and tackling urgent, high-impact problems are a strong fit.

Technical Areas You May Work In

• Ground station and edge systems, including software that interfaces with embedded hardware and RF modem equipment.
• High-throughput data movement, with a focus on efficient pipelines and low-latency distribution across environments.
• Cloud orchestration and distributed systems for coordinating a global ground network across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Stack architecture and internal service communication to support reliable end-to-end operation.
• API development, database work, and front-end interfaces for internal and customer use.
• Monitoring, observability, and alerting to improve uptime and speed up incident response.
• Telemetry systems that turn operational data into actionable insights and real-time customer updates.
• Infrastructure, security, and deployment pipelines that support safe continuous delivery at global scale.
• Production-line software and automated testing for hardware and software validation.
• Simulation and orchestration tools for satellite and network modeling, including antenna-network and data-plane orchestration.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay is set based on the role, level, location, market benchmarking, and the candidate’s background. Base salary is evaluated individually and may reflect skills, education, experience, and technical strengths. The total package may also include equity, stock, stock options, cash awards, and discretionary performance bonuses.
