Position Overview

We are looking to hire a dedicated Social Care Worker to join our adult day services team based in Dublin (CHO6), specifically in Sandyford and Dun Laoghaire. This permanent role is full-time, requiring 39 hours per week, to support adults with physical, sensory, or mild to moderate intellectual disabilities as part of a quality-driven team environment. The primary objective is to assist individuals with daily living activities according to their personal needs and preferences.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary range from E39,160 to E54,746 p.a. pro rata, with Long Service Increments applicable
  • Expected pay increases in 2026 pursuant to the WRC agreement for Section 39 organizations
  • Annual leave entitlement of 31 days pro rata, adjusted for service under 12 months

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues to deliver care and support tailored to each individual, adhering to the organizations quality standards. Duties primarily involve engaging with adults with disabilities to encourage personal development and independence, assisting with personal care, supporting medical needs including medication administration, and participating in professional supervision and personal planning.

Essential Requirements

  • Professional registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by CORU
  • Schedule 3 qualification or an equivalent recognized by the Social Care Workers Registration Board
  • Annual maintenance of registration on the Social Care Workers Register
  • Relevant experience including key working, personal care delivery, medical needs assistance, and professional supervision engagement
  • Possession of a full, clean manual driving license

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience working with adults and families affected by physical, sensory, or intellectual disabilities
  • At least one year of post-qualification experience related to this role

  • The position is subject to reference checks and potential Garda vetting or police clearance
  • A panel may be established for filling similar vacancies over the next 12 months
