They are currently seeking a Support Worker dedicated to delivering person-centered and comprehensive care to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities or autism within residential environments. This role includes collaboration with the individual's support network to foster independence, encourage community participation, and uphold equal citizenship.

Key Requirements

• Candidates must possess full, unrestricted legal permission to work in Ireland, such as Stamp 4 or an EU/EEA/UK passport; visa sponsorship is not provided.
• A valid full driving license is mandatory.
• A minimum qualification of QQI Level 7 in Health or Social Care, or an equivalent credential, plus CORU registration as a Social Care Worker is required.
• Applicants must be aged 25 or older due to insurance regulations.

Applications failing to satisfy all above mandatory criteria will not be considered.

Role Details and Compensation

• Annual salary ranges from €33,280 to €41,304, with new staff placed on entry-level pay.
• Work locations include Mallow or Leamlara, County Cork.
• Positions available are full-time or part-time and permanent.
• Work schedule is structured in 12-hour shifts: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, with shift hours finalized upon offer; flexibility to cover 24/7 shifts is necessary.
• Direct reporting line is to the Team Lead.
• The role includes a six-month probation period and requires clearance through reference verification, Garda vetting, and international security screening if applicable.

Primary Duties

• Assist residents with everyday living tasks, personal hygiene, and mobility support
• Encourage and facilitate users’ independence and community engagement
• Serve as an advocate and actively involve service users in shaping their care plans
• Support individuals by accompanying them to various appointments and social events
• Handle challenging behavior employing positive behavior support strategies
• Complete necessary documentation and contribute to team meetings
