SOC Analyst

Role overview

An opportunity is open for an SOC Analyst to support a security operations function based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The position is intended for someone who can actively contribute to monitoring, triage, and response activities within a SOC environment.

What the role involves

• Working as part of a security operations team to monitor and handle security events.
• Using SIEM and EDR platforms in day-to-day operations.
• Assessing alerts, identifying likely attack patterns, and performing incident triage.
• Working on a shift-based rotation schedule.

Required background

• At least 2 to 5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center role.
• Experience from banking or financial services environments is preferred.
• Practical experience with SIEM and EDR tools.
• Strong understanding of common attack methods and how to triage incidents effectively.
• Availability and comfort with rotating shifts.

Preferred profile

• Professional certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or GCIH are advantageous.
• Exposure to threat intelligence activities or vulnerability management is a plus.
• Hands-on familiarity with Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel will be beneficial.
