Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Proactively assess and address guest needs and inquiries to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
• Maintain overall command of the assigned boat, ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of all passengers and crew members.
• Lead, train, and supervise boat crew, while monitoring their performance.
• Maintain personal and crew uniforms, ensuring proper presentation and conduct.
• Oversee preparation and cleanliness of the vessel before departure.
• Navigate and operate the boat safely and efficiently.
• Manage emergency procedures including issuing distress alerts and requesting assistance from shore if necessary.
• Respond promptly to emergencies according to assigned duties.
• Ensure the vessel is clean both inside and out at all times.
• Maintain and oversee accurate logbook entries and ensure all manifests are completed prior to departure.
• Adhere to the approved voyage plan and provide explanations for any deviations.
• Report unsafe actions and near-miss incidents to management immediately.
• Ensure the boat is properly supplied, including fuel and fresh water, and manage black water discharge.
• Implement safe bunkering procedures.
• Enforce policies related to safety, no smoking, and environmental protection.
• Report any technical or equipment issues promptly to the Port Captain and Guest Fleet Operations Manager.
• Address passenger concerns efficiently and professionally.
• Properly secure passenger luggage and cargo.
• Maintain mooring ropes and berthing equipment in good condition.
• Conduct pre-departure equipment checks and report defects to operations.
• Liaise with Coast Guard and other relevant authorities when necessary.
• Manage all vessel certificates and documentation, including registration cards.
• Report crew absences or shortages.
• Conduct daily operational briefings before the crew begins duty.
• Ensure fire safety systems and lifesaving appliances are functional and inspected.
• Handover operational details to succeeding skippers and Port Captain at shift end.
• Operate various fleet vessels, including those with IPS drives.
• Participate and assist in crew training sessions as required.
• Participate in drydocking and vessel transfer procedures.
• Respond to emergency navigation in heavy weather or restricted visibility only after approval by Marine Operations Manager.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Valid Master 500 certificate, STCW certification, Radio License, and fitness medical report for working at sea.
• 2 to 5 years’ related experience as a skipper or in a similar role.
• Good proficiency in English communication.
• Strong technical aptitude and boating knowledge.
• Personality with a pleasant demeanor and professional conduct.
• Ability to perform well under pressure.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
