About the Role
Fortrea is seeking an experienced Study Start-Up Lead to join a team dedicated to sponsors. This role focuses on leading study start-up activities, collaborating with international teams, leveraging data-driven decisions, and enabling efficient clinical trial progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support teams managing site activation across global clinical trial programs.
- Collaborate closely with Clinical Operations colleagues to enhance study start-up efficiency and timelines.
- Utilize data analytics, forecasting methodologies, and industry knowledge to aid in project planning and strategic decision-making.
- Create country-specific Informed Consent Forms (ICFs) adhering to local regulations based on approved templates.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline study start-up operations.
- Monitor the progress of studies, proactively address delays, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to study start-up team members.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure sites are prepared to enroll participants promptly.
- Serve as the primary contact for study start-up challenges, facilitating effective solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in clinical operations, study start-up, project management, or trial optimization.
- At least 2 years of direct experience managing site activation and study start-up within a CRO or pharmaceutical setting.
- Proficient in developing country-level Informed Consent Forms (ICFs).
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience using data tools, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Effective at interpreting complex information and communicating clearly across diverse audiences.
- Comprehensive understanding of key factors influencing successful study start-up and site activation.
- Experience working in a global clinical research environment is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
