Shrink Wrap & Labelling Machine Operator

Job Description

The Shrink Wrap and Labelling Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient start-up and shutdown of equipment following established Standard Operating Procedures. The role involves operating and maintaining multiple machines as part of multitasking duties, ensuring product quality, and escalating any quality deviations to the production team leader. The operator must strictly adhere to safety protocols during all tasks.

The position demands minimizing unplanned machine stops, accurately documenting operating parameters and downtimes, managing flavor and package changes efficiently to reduce downtime and resource waste, and conducting thorough quality checks on both the production line and equipment.

Additional duties include setting up machinery with all necessary production materials, monitoring the line for defective materials, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and facilities, completing operation checks, and complying with all SOPs to maintain equipment efficiency. Coordination with the Quality Assurance team is essential to uphold high standards across raw and finished products. The operator will also participate in audits governed by Pepsi International and support continuous improvement initiatives such as TPM and Manufacturing & Warehouse projects.

Candidate Requirements

• At least two years of hands-on experience operating shrink wrapping and labeling machines within a Carbonated Soft Drink (CSD) and beverage manufacturing environment.
• Preferably holds a diploma in business, supply chain, production, or manufacturing-related fields.
• Advantageous to have formal training or certification in production operations.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, or Arabic is considered a plus.
