Job description
Programme Overview
Successful candidates will participate in a comprehensive 7-month training programme combining classroom instruction and hands-on on-the-job training (OJT). This training aims to develop the essential skills and knowledge required to qualify as a Sheetmetal Technician. On completing the programme successfully, trainees will be formally appointed as Sheetmetal Technicians.
Training Details
- Theoretical sessions focused on sheetmetal-related subjects.
- Practical on-the-job training within the Base Maintenance Division.
Job Responsibilities After Training
- Creating aircraft sheetmetal layouts and templates.
- Manufacturing and repairing structural components.
- Conducting metal forming operations.
- Reading and interpreting basic drawings and blueprints.
- Fabricating sheet metal parts and assemblies.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduates holding NITEC or Higher NITEC qualifications in any engineering discipline.
- Diploma holders in any engineering field, or individuals with Skills Certificates (SKM) in sheet metal work or related courses. Preference for candidates with aerospace experience, especially for non-Singaporeans.
- Proficiency in English with effective communication abilities.
- A keen interest in technical roles within the aviation industry.
