Job description

Position Overview

This is a permanent full-time opportunity available to candidates based in either Ireland or the UK. The role centers on leading the architectural design and governance of the ServiceNow platform within the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain the overarching architecture for ServiceNow platform implementations.
  • Lead the design and deployment of core IT Service Management (ITSM) modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and CMDB.
  • Develop and supervise the creation of comprehensive reporting and analytic solutions using Performance Analytics, standard Reporting, and Dashboards.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to collect business requirements and convert them into efficient, scalable platform solutions.
  • Monitor adherence to governance policies, security protocols, and optimal performance practices across the platform.
  • Design and manage integrations with external systems such as monitoring tools, HR applications, and financial software.
  • Strategize future roadmap plans for adopting additional ServiceNow modules like IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Business Management (ITBM), HR Service Delivery (HRSD), and Customer Service Management (CSM).
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to ServiceNow developers and system administrators.
  • Conduct architectural reviews to confirm alignment with the wider enterprise IT strategy.
  • Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow releases and advise on adoption plans accordingly.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Substantial experience working as a ServiceNow Architect in complex enterprise environments.
  • In-depth understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, architecture, and limits.
  • Strong expertise with ITSM processes and ServiceNow modules.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow reporting tools, including Performance Analytics, Scheduled Reports, and Dashboard development.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript and Glide, as well as use of Flow Designer and IntegrationHub components.
  • Knowledgeable about ServiceNow data models, CMDB configuration, and service mapping techniques.
  • Excellent communication abilities and capability in managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Professional certifications like ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer are preferred.
  • Possession of ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect credential is highly valued.
