Role Summary

The Senior Technical Project Manager leads and coordinates complex interrelated projects within programs aligned to strategic business objectives. This role encompasses applying advanced project management methodologies to oversee schedules, scope, quality, costs, and risk management. Collaboration with cross-functional technical teams, leadership, and business stakeholders is key for delivering impactful solutions. The position reports to the Manager of Technical Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of technical projects ensuring timely, on-budget execution throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering teams—including Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects—to establish and optimize processes to enhance success and efficiency of prioritized projects.
• Manage Agile ceremonies and processes across large project teams, including hardware/software procurement activities.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans integrating multiple projects and project managers to produce significant business outcomes.
• Continuously monitor and adapt program plans in response to changes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Establish governance frameworks and provide senior leadership oversight for program execution.
• Implement financial controls, authorizing and tracking expenditures, and assessing return on investment.
• Create and maintain the infrastructure necessary to support program operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least five years of experience managing technical projects or programs involving enterprise-level solutions.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing, APIs, databases, technology roles and platform dependencies, software development life cycle, and engineering/product development.
• Strong skills in influence, negotiation, communication, organizational insight, relationship building, and dependency analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Agile, Lean, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies, including effective blending to drive collaboration and delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile technical practices such as DevOps, CI/CD, and Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Proven ability to coach and mentor teams on various project management frameworks.
• Comprehensive understanding of software architecture and technical project aspects.
• Experience managing substantial project budgets.
• Proficiency with tools including Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote, Smartsheet, MyPPM (Clarity), MyJira, Tableau, and PowerBI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience supporting global, large-scale software development programs.
• Certifications in Agile methodologies such as CSM, ACP, CPO, SAFe, or LeSS.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.

Additional Details

The salary range for this position in Orlando, FL, is $120,400 to $161,400 annually. Actual pay will reflect internal equity considerations, candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other factors. Compensation may include bonuses or long-term incentive units, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including medical and financial perks.
