About the Role
Joining Grady Health System means becoming part of a longstanding legacy dedicated to service and community commitment. The Senior Safety Manager, reporting to the Safety Director, oversees the Environment of Care and Life Safety Programs across the health system. This role involves developing and executing strategies to maintain compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements at the local, state, and federal levels. Key responsibilities include ensuring preparedness for compliance inspections by various agencies such as the Joint Commission, CMS, Fire Department, and insurance bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the Environment of Care and Life Safety compliance programs.
- Develop and implement policies ensuring adherence to healthcare safety and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and prepare for inspections and audits related to safety and accreditation.
- Maintain ongoing readiness for compliance activities involving multiple regulatory organizations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in healthcare or fire/life safety sectors.
- Prior involvement in compliance inspections or healthcare accreditation processes is essential.
