Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Retail Designer on a 12-month contract basis to join a dynamic creative team dedicated to producing high-end retail settings, fixtures, and brand activation experiences for globally renowned brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of retail environments, fixtures, and brand activation projects from initial concept to final delivery.
- Create concept development materials including mood boards, sketches, material selections, and finish options.
- Develop detailed and visually compelling 3D models, renders, and presentations.
- Prepare comprehensive technical and manufacturing documentation and supervise production processes.
- Coordinate closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to realize creative ideas effectively.
- Mentor and guide designers, managing workloads and prioritizing project tasks.
- Evaluate prototypes, troubleshoot production issues, and refine designs to optimize manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure all projects meet timelines, budgetary constraints, and high creative standards.
Candidate Profile
- Proven extensive experience in designing retail environments, POP/POS displays, exhibitions, or brand activations.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques, materials, and construction methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects through every phase from ideation to installation.
- Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities.
- Experience in mentoring design teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
Skills Required
- Proficiency with 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, SketchUp, or AutoCAD.
- Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Competence in high-quality rendering and visualisation tools.
- Experience in budget oversight and value engineering to optimize costs.
