Senior Project / Program Manager

About the Role

Dynatrace is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of professional services tailored to Federal Government and Public Sector clients. This role involves steering complex technology projects within secure, highly regulated settings by collaborating closely with customers, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders. You will be the main point of contact for project execution, ensuring each initiative is completed on schedule, within scope, and fulfills client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of customer projects from initiation to closure.
• Create and sustain project plans, schedules, and milestone roadmaps.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Manage project parameters such as scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Establish trusted relationships with stakeholders, project teams, and executives.
• Conduct governance meetings, status updates, and steering committee communications.
• Effectively communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to diverse audiences.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and uphold governance practices.
• Implement risk, issue, change, and escalation management procedures.
• Advocate for consistent project methodologies and tools within the organization.
• Monitor project performance and proactively resolve challenges.
• Collaborate with technical teams and support continuous delivery improvements.
• Provide customer insights to enhance ongoing success and growth prospects.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Experience managing technology, software, or digital transformation projects with direct client engagement.
• Exposure to enterprise, SaaS, cloud, or IT project environments.
• Strong skills in project planning, stakeholder engagement, and leadership.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in dynamic, evolving conditions.
• Excellent communication aptitudes for technical and executive audiences.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving and risk management expertise.
• Familiarity with project governance methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrids.
• Proficiency in project management tools like Jira, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
• Customer-oriented and collaborative approach with a focus on quality delivery.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Expertise in managing projects within Australian Federal Government or regulated sectors.
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or ITIL.
• Knowledge in observability, application performance monitoring, or cloud operations technology.
• Familiarity with Dynatrace software or equivalent enterprise platforms.

Security and Travel Requirements

• An NV1 Security Clearance is highly desirable; candidates eligible and willing to obtain this clearance are encouraged to apply.
• Occasional travel may be required, estimated up to 25% of the time.
