Role Overview

As the Senior Photographer for the Templar Yearbook, you will be responsible for directing and managing all photographic content, maintaining exceptional creativity and quality throughout. Collaborating closely with the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor, you will lead the recruitment of photo editors and freelance photographers to build a capable team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and guide a team of freelance photographers and photo editors by organizing schedules, delegating assignments, and supervising all photography activities.
• Coordinate with the Sports Team to ensure timely delegation and completion of sports-related photo assignments.
• Collaborate with photo editors to maintain alignment with the yearbook's theme and quality expectations.
• Oversee photography deadlines to align deliverables with the overall yearbook production timeline.

Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise in digital photography and proficiency in photo editing software.
• Strong leadership capabilities coupled with effective communication skills to manage and mentor the photography team successfully.
• Highly organized with proven ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
