Responsibilities

• Convert business and technical demands into actionable performance testing strategies, incorporating load, stress, scalability, and reliability evaluations.
• Conduct in-depth Java application performance assessments at both system architecture and source code levels to detect bottlenecks, determine root causes, and implement thorough optimizations.
• Develop and execute improvements at the architecture and coding layers to boost throughput and system stability.
• Partner closely with DevOps teams to ensure high availability in production environments involving distributed systems.
• Independently analyze and resolve live performance issues, taking complete accountability for solutions.
• Create internal automation tools for performance monitoring, testing, and problem analysis.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy and performance risks, ensuring compliance with production quality standards through expert judgment.

Requirements

• Expertise in pinpointing system and code performance constraints, with strong skills in Java application tuning and JVM optimizations (including garbage collection, heap, thread profiling).
• Proven experience troubleshooting microservice performance challenges in live environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of performance testing tools such as K6 and JMeter.
• Competence in working with both relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases, focusing on query and slow query optimization.
• Understanding of middleware performance including Kafka, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
• Experience managing containerization and orchestration via Docker and Kubernetes.
• Advanced proficiency in Linux for command-line operations and system-level debugging.
• Proficient in Java programming with a strong engineering perspective for evaluating code quality and performance effects.
• Passion for designing systems with exceptional performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Open to Java backend developers transitioning to QA roles with a strong foundation in Java development and performance testing.
• New graduates showing solid Java knowledge and foundational skills in performance testing are encouraged to apply.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with AI-driven development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code, and the ability to critically assess AI code quality.
• Public cloud experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, or AliCloud.
• Experience building monitoring and observability frameworks using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Skills in Linux kernel or operating system level performance evaluation.
• Expertise in managing production performance incident triage and resolution.
• Use of Application Performance Management (APM) tools such as SkyWalking, Pinpoint, or Jaeger for diagnosing issues.
• Rust programming experience.
• Comfortable collaborating within geographically distributed, remote teams.
