Senior Manager - Fleet Procurement

Overview

This senior managerial position is focused on overseeing fleet procurement activities within the Logistics and Distribution division for North America. The role demands driving value creation across total fleet procurement spend through specialized category knowledge, effective cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data to assist local stakeholders in shaping procurement strategies.
• Evaluate current sourcing frameworks, develop a forward-looking sourcing strategy, and suggest improvements.
• Collect and interpret expenditure data to gain spending insights.
• Maintain market intelligence relevant to the business unit's categories.
• Organize workshops with local and regional stakeholders to align on procurement goals.
• Identify spending trends and patterns to proactively recommend cost-saving and risk reduction measures.
• Conduct thorough analyses of supply chain challenges and propose enduring solutions.
• Maintain and enhance supplier performance metrics based on procurement impact.
• Lead supplier selection processes including tender design and analysis of responses to shortlist vendors.
• Facilitate supplier negotiations while strategic decisions are made by business unit associates.
• Compile various scenarios for final reviews with internal teams.
• Develop and implement sophisticated tender strategies evaluating supplier risk and value.
• Conduct supplier due diligence, focusing on sustainability, ESG standards, and geopolitical risks.
• Lead contract reviews, establish updated terms aligned with RFX results, and assist in negotiations with suppliers and internal teams.
• Manage ongoing compliance, supplier information, and contract administration.
• Support complex, multi-market contracts considering currency risk, inflation, and volatility.
• Proactively manage supplier relationships for compliance and continuous improvement.
• Serve as escalation point for contract disputes and ensure efficient supplier onboarding.
• Oversee cost control and assist in forecasting for annual and quarterly operating plans.
• Drive initiatives to improve productivity, cash flow, and cost modeling for market-based price adjustments.
• Lead cross-functional savings projects such as innovations and process improvements.
• Collaborate on long-term category roadmaps with category leaders tailored to business needs.
• Innovate beyond cost savings by focusing on supply chain resilience, diversity, and sustainability goals.
• Manage risk by creating contingency plans and conducting detailed supplier risk assessments including financial and geopolitical factors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or MBA.
• 8 to 10 years in Global Procurement Operations or Shared Services roles.
• Extensive procurement experience within FMCG sectors.
• Strong understanding of logistics and fleet management landscapes.
• Solid business acumen with knowledge of finance, analytics, and computer proficiency.
• Excellent skills in managing internal clients by understanding and addressing their needs.
• Ability to work effectively within matrix organizations.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Highly collaborative with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Additional Information

This position is located onsite in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, within a full-time capacity. Detailed project assignments are allocated during the Annual Operating Plan cycle, according to the team's overall workload.
