Overview

As a Senior Insights Analyst within MAS’s Data & Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in translating complex data into actionable insights that drive improved Member outcomes and organizational performance. This permanent position is based in Auckland, with the possibility of Wellington location.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and upkeep of Member insight tools, encompassing segmentation, retention, growth, engagement, and campaign analytics.
• Design analytical methods, develop measures, and create visualizations to simplify complex datasets into clear, practical insights.
• Deliver recommendations grounded in data to guide strategic planning, prioritization, and decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to pinpoint areas where analytics can enhance both Member experiences and business results.
• Communicate analytic results by crafting compelling narratives that encourage actionable steps.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards and consistency in analytics processes and outputs across the team.
• Ensure rigorous governance, quality assurance, and compliance throughout all analytical products.

You are an experienced analytics professional with a robust technical skill set, adept at stakeholder collaboration and commercial insight. Your curiosity motivates you to tackle complex challenges, and you have a proven ability to influence outcomes through data-driven insights.

Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive background in analytics, business intelligence, or customer analytics roles.
• Proficient in advanced SQL and handling sophisticated datasets.
• Skilled in Power BI and familiar with contemporary cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience developing analytical products such as dashboards, segmentation models, and decision-support systems.
• Effective communicator with strong storytelling abilities and stakeholder engagement expertise.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and translating business issues into analytical frameworks.
• Team-oriented mindset with dedication to continuous process and capability enhancement.
