Senior Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to oversee essential financial functions such as Accounts Payable, Tax compliance, Financial Reporting, and Audit processes for a contract role based in Doha, Qatar. This position is available immediately with a contract duration of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable operations to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Oversee tax-related activities in compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate and contribute to financial reporting tasks.
• Support audit procedures and liaise with auditors as required.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• Have a minimum of six years’ experience in accounting roles.
• Demonstrated expertise specifically in Accounts Payable, Tax matters, and Audit processes.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA, or equivalent credentials, are favored.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and familiarity with IFRS.
• Proficient user of ERP or accounting software along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong analytical capabilities combined with meticulous attention to detail.
