Role Overview

The Scrum Master will join HUB’s Agile Center of Excellence, dedicated to embedding and scaling Agile methodologies throughout the technology department. This position will serve as both a servant-leader and coach to one or multiple cross-disciplinary teams, guiding them to optimize planning, execution, and collaboration practices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and energize Scrum events including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Identify and remove obstacles to progress, escalating issues when necessary to protect teams from distractions and ensure focus.
Coach teams at varying stages of Agile maturity on Scrum practices and continuous improvement without rigidly enforcing frameworks.
Monitor sprint health and capacity, maintaining team backlogs meticulously using Jira, including board setup and reporting.
Coordinate across multiple squads during joint ceremonies and manage program dependencies.
Partner with Product Owners to assist with backlog refinement and to prepare for sprints.
Integrate artificial intelligence tools actively into daily workflows to enhance retrospectives, highlight impediments patterns, automate status updates, and facilitate ceremony preparations.
Contribute to organization-wide Agile initiatives like documenting best practices, leading Agile community sessions, conducting maturity assessments, and enhancing tooling.
Support leadership and stakeholders with program-level status reporting and transparency.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum three years experience as a Scrum Master within software development teams.
Possession of Certified Scrum Master (CSM) credential or equivalent; SAFe certification is advantageous.
Strong expertise with Jira, including advanced functionality such as board configuration and sprint metrics.
Demonstrated curiosity and practical experience employing AI tools to augment Agile delivery processes.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills suitable for engaging diverse teams and business partners.
Experience in regulated sectors such as insurance or financial services is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is approximately $95,000 to $125,000 annually, influenced by the candidate’s location, experience, role scope, and business division.
