The position requires onsite presence in Washington, D.C. (zip code 20006) four days per week, with one day allowed for telework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives to keep the team aligned and productive.
  • Lead sprint demonstrations at the end of each sprint, maintaining regular cadence and engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the backlog, write and dissect user stories and subtasks, and uphold Jira sprint board accuracy.
  • Act as the primary source for sprint progress, generating reports, monitoring task completion, and providing status updates to team members and leadership.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation using SharePoint and coordinate related deliverables with Business Analysts.
  • Monitor ServiceNow tickets integrated into Jira workflows, updating stakeholders on ticket progression promptly.
  • Support high-level change management efforts, working with technical team members on pipeline and security-related user stories.
  • Champion an agile culture within the team, setting standards for task tracking, communication, and completion.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
  • Between 5 to 8 years of Scrum Master experience in IT or software delivery environments.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent agile certification.
  • Proficient in facilitating all Scrum ceremonies and managing comprehensive sprint deliveries.
  • Experience with Jira for backlog management, story development, sprint tracking, and task ownership.
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Basic understanding of DevSecOps principles and delivery pipelines to appropriately facilitate team discussions.
  • Conceptual knowledge of federal IT security frameworks and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes like NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills comfortable engaging with engineers, product managers, and federal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC, five days a week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal IT or government cloud modernization projects.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint for documentation and knowledge management.
  • Experience using ServiceNow alongside Jira in ticketing and work intake workflows.
