This full-time position is based in Jarvis, Ontario and operates on a rotating day shift schedule. The hourly pay rate is $23.85 CAD.

Job Purpose and Responsibilities

• Executing labor-intensive cleaning and sanitation tasks on hatchery equipment, floors, and walls using high-pressure washers, hoses, and automatic washing machines.
• Performing manual cleaning duties as necessary to maintain hygiene standards.
• Handling eggs carefully to preserve sanitation and maximize hatch success.
• Wearing and properly maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Complying fully with Occupational Health & Safety Act and internal company safety policies.
• Following all safety regulations and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
• Strictly observing biosecurity protocols to prevent contamination.
• Carrying out additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

• Legal entitlement to work in Canada for Cargill.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Capability to perform physical tasks safely, including bending, lifting up to 40 lbs, kneeling, climbing, and twisting, with or without accommodation.
• Comfort working in various indoor/outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, dust, and noise while using PPE.
• Ability to work at heights of 4 feet or higher.
• English proficiency in verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or varying shifts with notice.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in sanitation roles.
• Experience in production environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
