Role Overview
The Sales Operations Manager position at VendorPM is integral to enhancing sales efficiency within the Vendor Sales division. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), this hybrid role combines team engagement and systems optimization responsibilities. The individual will collaborate closely with the Sales Manager and Revenue Operations Manager to elevate SDR team performance and will independently oversee the entire self-serve automated sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and refine scalable sales methodologies, comprehensive playbooks, and routine operational check-ins to support the Vendor Sales team.
- Design and implement structured onboarding initiatives aimed at minimizing SDR ramp-up duration.
- Produce educational content, manuals, and resources focused on boosting vendor conversion rates.
- Detect process bottlenecks within the vendor rollout funnel and implement scalable remedies.
- Manage the end-to-end self-serve vendor sales journey, targeting revenue objectives.
- Enhance self-serve sales efficiency by leveraging automation, customization, and streamlined processes.
- Continuously evolve the sales engine to augment revenue capacity without increasing SDR staff.
- Collaborate with Product and Marketing to raise self-serve vendor conversion effectiveness.
- Consistently forecast vendor sales for internal teams and external stakeholders, maintaining high accuracy.
- Join forces with Revenue Operations to convert data insights into tangible process enhancements.
- Monitor and report critical performance indicators, notifying the CRO of any risks or opportunities.
- Coordinate vendor rollout communications for both internal teams and external clients, including joint updates with Customer Success.
- Work with RevOps and Customer Success managers to deploy automated workflows for data transfer and cleanup.
- Partner with Customer Success and RevOps to craft sequences aimed at recovering churned vendors and maximizing recurring revenue.
- Support the implementation of the National Account Structure with Product teams to facilitate multi-location vendor organizations.
- Serve as the central liaison across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams concerning vendor-related projects.
Success Metrics
- Reliable and data-driven forecast accuracy.
- Growth in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) generated via self-serve and API channels.
- Improved conversion rates from automated outreach campaigns.
- Increased SDR productivity by reducing unproductive outreach attempts.
- Shortened SDR onboarding timelines leading to quicker full productivity.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or similar functions, ideally with hands-on management or close collaboration with SDR/BDR teams.
- Demonstrated success in developing or scaling self-serve, automated, or product-led growth (PLG) sales models alongside traditional sales forces.
- Proficiency with Salesforce including workflow creation, report building, and dashboard management (mandatory).
- Experience with sales engagement platforms such as Clay, Dialpad, or comparable tools is advantageous.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the aptitude to convert complex data into actionable process improvements and forecast models.
- Track record in designing and implementing onboarding, training, or enablement programs.
- Effective at cross-department collaboration involving Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams.
- A builder mindset with a penchant for creating scalable processes and systems from the ground up.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including presenting to senior leadership such as the CRO.
