Role Overview

Based in Riyadh, this position focuses on the on-site operation of specialized equipment, specifically the Reach Stacker (RS) and Empty Container Handler (ECH). The primary objective is to move, organize, and stack containers safely and efficiently within terminal yards or storage facilities. Operators will work in tandem with logistics teams and supervisors to ensure seamless goods movement and effective storage.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate RS (Reach Stacker) and ECH (Empty Container Handler) equipment to transfer and position containers as directed.
• Conduct daily pre-operation checks, identifying and addressing potential mechanical concerns, and liaising with maintenance as required.
• Follow all established operational and safety guidelines to mitigate incidents and minimize idle time.
• Coordinate with supervisory and logistics staff to facilitate accurate tracking and recording of container locations and movements.
• Assist with loading, unloading, stacking, and general yard organization activities.
• Promote and participate in continuous improvement and best practices for equipment utilization and workplace safety.
• Maintain clear records and documentation pertinent to day-to-day operations.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in handling RS and ECH or directly comparable heavy equipment, maintaining a safety-first approach.
• Background in logistics, container yard, port, or warehouse environments, with practical knowledge around stacking, loading, and unloading tasks.
• Competence in conducting equipment inspections and reporting issues promptly.
• Familiarity with workplace health, safety, and environmental guidelines, with consistent adherence to all site protocols.
• Ability to maintain basic operational records and communicate clearly with team members.
• Holding a valid operator license or certificate for RS/ECH or similar heavy machinery in accordance with regional regulations.
• Capacity to perform physically demanding work outdoors across variable weather and shift schedules.
• Prior experience working in Riyadh or the Saudi logistics and port sector, with knowledge of local standards, is advantageous.
