Role Overview

As a Retail Store Supervisor at Office Depot in St Thomas, PA, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive solutions spanning Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This full-time position emphasizes cultivating trust and advising customers as their primary resource for technology products and print solutions. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer loyalty by delivering exceptional client service and promoting the best solution sales, including additional products and services.
• Utilize communication tools effectively to coordinate support and customer interactions across the store.
• Assess customer needs to recommend comprehensive solutions.
• Lead and develop the team through training sessions focused on business models and holistic client service.
• Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and cultivate trust and brand loyalty within the team.
• Assist management by sharing insights on associate performance and competency levels.
• Handle merchandise processing with accuracy adhering to procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
• Identify process improvements to minimize waste and boost efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to loss prevention protocols and operational excellence.
• Support sales growth via improvements in conversion rates, average order value, and customer satisfaction.
• Fulfill External Key Carrier duties such as securing the premises during manager absences, overseeing opening and closing procedures, managing cash handling, and alarm system operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; additional coursework in Business, Retail Management, or related fields is advantageous.
• Between 1 and 3 years of relevant experience, particularly in retail, sales, customer-facing roles, or supervisory positions.
• Familiarity with technology and print products, including operating relevant equipment and point-of-sale systems.
• Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written, alongside excellent interpersonal and selling skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with capability to coach, train, and work collaboratively or independently.
• Comfortable using technology and various systems to manage daily tasks efficiently.
• Possess problem-solving, conflict resolution, time management skills, and sound business judgment.
• Goal-oriented with the ability to lead others, take accountability, make sound decisions, and adapt to change.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and maintain open availability.

Additional Information

Employment requires the possibility of background checks conducted by third parties. Candidates must be capable of fulfilling External Key Carrier responsibilities involving security and cash handling.
