Role overview
Zaxbys is looking for a Restaurant Utility Worker to help keep the restaurant safe, clean, and operating smoothly. This position focuses on the upkeep of the building, equipment, and surrounding areas through routine cleaning, deep cleaning, and preventive maintenance.

Key responsibilities
- Complete all training required by Zax LLC.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept restaurant environment.
- Handle both scheduled and unscheduled cleaning tasks, along with basic maintenance work.
- Carry out routine cleaning and preventive maintenance for restaurant equipment.
- Check equipment to identify problems and determine what is malfunctioning.
- Address minor lighting issues and support small repair needs.
- Perform deep-cleaning tasks, including pressure washing inside and outside the property.
- Review and understand equipment manuals, work orders, safety documents, and operating procedures.
- Inspect grounds, plumbing, electrical fixtures, outlets, kitchen equipment, and the building for issues that may need preventive action.
- Complete simple repairs when needed.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Follow all operational standards, company policies, and franchising guidelines.
- Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Stay flexible and be willing to take on tasks beyond the basic scope of the role when needed.
- Report human resources and risk management concerns promptly to the General Manager and District Manager.
- Escalate other issues to a supervisor when appropriate.
- Carry out additional duties needed to keep restaurant operations running properly.
