Research Scientist

About the Role

This position involves providing technical laboratory research support for multiple projects aimed at accelerating evaluation and clinical translation of therapeutic candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct siRNA drug candidate screening, identify hits, and optimize leads.
• Perform cellular and molecular biology techniques including mammalian cell culture, in vitro screening, cell-based assays, RNA extraction, and quantitative real-time PCR (RT-qPCR).
• Analyze experimental data and present outcomes in team meetings.
• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical reports as needed.
• Collaborate closely with research team members to rapidly address critical questions about drug efficacy.
• Review scientific literature to contribute insights guiding research directions while actively performing hands-on laboratory work.

Candidate Requirements

• A Master's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Preferably 4 or more years of relevant experience in drug discovery within industrial or academic settings.
• Essential expertise in cellular and molecular biology techniques such as mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays, and RT-qPCR.
• Experience with primary human adipocyte and hepatocyte cultures is advantageous.
• Familiarity with advanced in vitro models, such as organoids and other 3D culture systems, is highly desirable.
• Background in RNA interference (RNAi) and in vitro screening methodologies is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities, exemplary work ethic, and proven teamwork skills are required.
• Ability to design, execute, and interpret experiments reliably and drive projects forward aggressively towards defined objectives.
