About the Role
We are seeking a Regional Scheduling Advisor based in South Auckland for a fixed-term full-time appointment until 30 June 2027. In this role, you will play a significant part in making the justice system more timely, effective, and accessible for the South Auckland community. Your decisions and collaboration will help optimize court scheduling and judicial resource management, enhancing outcomes for court users and reinforcing trust in the administration of justice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dynamic court schedules that address changing demand and priorities.
- Advise on judicious allocation of judicial time and court resources balancing operational needs with judicial priorities.
- Analyze data on scheduling and court performance to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide reliable guidance to Court Managers, Judicial Resource Managers, Executive Judges and other stakeholders regarding scheduling and operations.
- Forge strong partnerships across court leadership and judiciary to promote consistent approaches and shared objectives.
- Contribute to regional and national initiatives focused on enhancing scheduling practices, resource efficiency, and service delivery.
- Apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills to manage complex scheduling conflicts and competing demands.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing data-driven insights and stakeholder feedback into operational enhancements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience utilizing data and operational insights to guide decisions and uncover improvement possibilities.
- Capability to translate complex or conflicting requirements into workable, tailored solutions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement abilities, including influencing, alignment building, and managing differing viewpoints.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while actively contributing to a collaborative team setting.
- Exercised sound judgement balancing competing priorities within a multi-jurisdictional, justice sector environment.
- Positive attitude towards change and working at a national level, coupled with excellent interpersonal and service-oriented skills.
- Possession of a full valid driver’s license and ability to travel across the region, sometimes requiring overnight stays.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $85,562 to $109,862 annually, commensurate with skills and experience.
