Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Reconciliation Officer based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, to ensure accuracy between internal financial records and bank balances. This full-time, remote role requires strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed bank reconciliations daily to verify alignment of bank balances with internal ledgers.
Review and process electronic float purchases made by agents and manage partner wallet funding transactions.
Individually examine each transaction to ensure exact amount matches; document and investigate any discrepancies.
Maintain daily and monthly records of bank fees.
Reconcile banks using associated bank agent IDs.
Assist the Reconciliation Manager with project implementation and undertake ad hoc tasks as required.

Candidate Requirements

Fluency in both English and French is essential.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least two years of experience in a similar financial reconciliation role.
Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial record-keeping.
Exceptional accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in financial reconciliations.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

This position is based in our Kinshasa office; no travel required.
Applicants must hold valid work authorization for the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
